I wish I could post the picture he sent, but I'm not allowed: just imagine this big bearded bear of a dude in his early 60s with tattos and Willie Nelson braids, wearing a shirt that says "free dad hugs" and holding a rainbow umbrella. He's surrounded by a bunch of teenagers all singing and smiling.

this is important.
a mostly white, suburban crowd decided they didn’t need permission to protest fascism. minnesotans decided the moment was more important than the fear of fascist #MAGA #terrorism.
to those of you who carp about the comforts of the hegemonic majority: if not the hegemons, who?
this is what a point of sociological inflection looks like.

Während der Coronakrise kaufte das Gesundheitsministerium zu viele Masken zu überhöhten Preisen und verschwendete damit Milliarden.
Ein Untersuchungsbericht dazu wird vom Ministerium unter Verschluss gehalten.
Nun sind Inhalte durchgesickert – und die belasten Jens Spahn.
Ex-Gesundheitsminister Jens Spahn mahnte im Zuge der Coronakrise, dass wir uns einander viel verzeihen müssten. Dass es sich dabei auch um einen mutmaßlich von ihm persönlich verursachten Schaden von mehreren Milliarden Euro handelte, erwähnte er jedoch nicht.
Bereits letztes Jahr zeigten Recherchen von SZ, SWR, NDR, dass über 100 Lieferanten von Coronamasken die Bundesregierung auf über 2,3 Milliarden Euro verklagen, da sie vertraglich die Abnahme zusicherte und dem dann aber nicht nachkam.

Weshalb Spahn den vom Staat gezahlten Preis für die Masken ohne Not erhöhte, bleibt unklar. Es drängt sich der Eindruck auf, Spahns Umfeld und Netzwerke hätten besonders profitiert. Besonders bedenklich ist, dass Spahn sich mehrfach über Empfehlungen seines und anderer Ministerien hinwegsetzte.
Entgegen Jens Spahns Behauptungen, belasten die neu zutage gekommenen Informationen den Ex-Gesundheitsminister schwerer denn je. Der gesamte Untersuchungsbericht muss umgehend veröffentlicht werden, ein Untersuchungsausschuss wäre angemessen
Auch braucht es eine andere Fehlerkultur bei der Union: dass Spahn nun zum Fraktionsvorsitzenden der CDU befördert wurde, während diese Sachverhalte noch nicht geklärt sind und die Geheimhaltung des Untersuchungsberichts ist schlicht inakzeptabel!

There were 5 people *total* who made it clear they disagreed with us. One yelled "That's my king!" like the fool he is. Two just yelled "Trump!" One, a biker trying to look intimidating, and briefly emboldened by seeing me alone for a minute while the others had stepped away, told me to shove my sign up my ass and suck a D, but I laughed and encouraged him to lead by example.
The least pleasant one, though, was the guy who laughed at us, then circled back to "debate" me -- mainly consisting of being condescendingly dismissive and laughing to my face. He stopped laughing, though, when I showed him sources that RFK Jr **really did** espouse labor camps to "reparent" autistic people, addicts, people w/ mental health problems, and young Black men. Suddenly, his laughter started sounding hollow and forced, and he started making excuses to leave. As unpleasant as it was, I think maybe that's where I made the most difference today. That guy might actually go think about it and change his views.
